Thoughts Of A Stoned Woman #1

I wrote these while really really high yesterday, enjoy.

----------

Enlightenment & The Buddha

What if, to be enlightened, one learns it is unsafe to be enlightened? How is this possible if the enlightened one is trying to keep the world from being in danger? Wouldn't the other enlightened ones see the same fate and would work equally to prevent it? Doesn't this contradict itself? Does that just mean there can be no enlightenment as then to cancel out the higher inclined lines that contradict themselves?

I've found a way to identify my voices in my head. While stoned, write an "ingenious" idea down on paper, then reread it sober. The voices each have their own style of writing, so you can identify which "you" was speaking at that time. Voices change slowly over the course of a day, but switch rapidly under the influence.

I feel like parts of my mind are stuck in different places in time. Luckily the smart "psychic" mind at the front of the line making good decisions is in there. Then to my duller mind that senses when time feels most real it seems like something has taken over my body and makes what my mind wishes to come true come true without any effort.

The Deep End

I'm playing with my lighter, letting the gas escape momentarily before it bursts into flame, having it rise up into my nostils where it is chemically analyzed.. so I can smell it.

And I think... the first time I ever owned a lighter, I never needed a reason for it. On top of that, I had lots of them. Five on me at minimum. While I may not be so blessed today with such availability of fire (I usually only have a single lighter on me at any given time, if one at all), I do remember my parents' frantic attempts at confiscating any of these items as they came under their radar.

And back then I was clean, I had nothing to hide. I didn't smoke (anything), or drink, I didn't vandalize things, or start fires, I just enjoyed watching that little flame we all know and love spark into existance, hover quietly, and then die in a flash when either the fuel was released, the wind catched hold of it's fragile being, or some asshole decided to send a gust of their hot air your way.

Mind you, I've been that asshole many a time.

Today I smoked my first full cigarette. I'm not going to take up smoking or anything like that, but I must say, I enjoyed it...

It all started as a cover.. me and Kristy had been smoking pot out her bedroom window, and her mother walked in. All she said was "don't smoke in the house", and left. Mind you, she never saw what we were smoking, she just knew that's what we were doing, after all, it's the only simple and palusable answer one can come up with when walking in on two teenage girls hiding behind a closet door with the window open. We needed to cover our asses, and we needed to do it quickly. We thought of a plan; I would confess to have taken up cigarettes, then the next day, we would beg and plead Eric to buy a pack for us so we had proof that I did.

And so, that is what we did. We needed butts to spread around the areas where we smoked the pot, as well as some butts to drop out the bedroom window, so Eric, Sonya, Kristy and I all started lighting up. At first, with the first cigarette, I mostly just let it burn, taking a few puffs now and then. The cigarettes were Player's Light, so I didn't really notice the smoke, and therefore I would start coughing whenever I over-inhaled. Eventually I got the hang of it, and, voila! No more mini coughing fits.

But we were smoking them on the corner like typical teenage rebellious punks, and we laughed about it.

(Oh, must add comment here about us all playing pool, my insane dancing + learing the cha-cha from Sonya, and the cute bartender who A) gave us the washroom key, B)gave us free water and C)I swear to god kept checking us out )

And then we went to the bus station where we lit up yet again. This time I smoked the entire cigarette.. my very first full one. And I enjoyed it. Saying yet again I won't take it up, but on occasion seems nice. The downside is I now wreak of cigarette smoke, and I'm probably stinkking up my surroundings.

Oh well, smoking again tomorrow, just one, for mere shock value of the peers. Kristy has the funniest ideas.
